Sustainability Program Launch

2015-04-13
In 2015, the Athena Institute extends its policy spectrum towards sustainable economics and society. The launching project of the program will give a deeper insight into the details of the Energy Poverty phenomenon in the European Union.

The first milestone in this field will be a summary report about the EU’s actual engagement and an evaluation of further challenges and opportunities to tackle the problems caused by this complex issue. The report is to be published in the second half of 2015 accompanied by related public events. The second starting project of the program will be an analysis of the Road to a New Treaty.

We are also happy to announce our first conference in the European Parliament with the participation of most major political parties and experienced experts. In the second half of 2015 and 2016, the program will focus on a possible Convention, highlighting the lessons to be learned from previous Convention initiatives and further relevant European procedures such as the TTIP negotiations.
